Dear all,
I just got a Krasnogorsk K-316mm Semi Automatic Mechanical Movie Camera.
Meteor-5-1 17-69 mm f/ 1.9 Lens.
Do you have any special suggestion around how to use it or any sort of best
solution in terms of film stock?

Thank you
all best

Hello,
congrats.
If you have the money, Kodak makes excellent emulsions, e.g.
KODAK VISION3 250D Color Negative Film 5207 / 7207
The question though is what you are going to do afterwards with the
material. Analog workflow or transfer to digital? If well scanned, 2K
resolution is perfect for 16mm footage. 4K will give you nothing more.
Best,
Marco

Then you should look for emulsions on the second-hand market.
Film is expensive, and the workflow is expensive.

You can also save by doing your own film to video transfers but you’ll need
a 16mm projector for this. just project & videotape the projection. it
will probably take a few trials to get it right. Good luck. I had a K-3
years ago. Mine was defective but produced cool effects.
